You will need an iPhone or iPad with iOS 11+ and access to Microsoft Office 365 or Exchange Server 2007 SP1 or above with a Public Folders database configured. You will need a user account with appropriate access rights authorised to access your organisation's Public Folders.

We recommend that you check with your IT services provider or email administrator if you are unsure about any these requirements.

To set up an Office 365 account:

  1. Go to your accounts list and click the '+' icon at the top right and tap Office 365
  2. Enter a description for your account. Tap Next
  3. Enter your Office 365 email address and the password associated with your account. Tap Sign in or Next
  4. You may then be asked to allow certain permissions. This is to allow Public Folders Pro access to sync your Public Folders to the device

All data is synced directly with Office 365 servers and accessed securely over HTTPS.

To set up a Microsoft Exchange account:

  1. Go to your accounts list and click the '+' icon at the top right and tap Exchange
  2. Enter the email address of the account you would like to add
  3. Your username is usually your Windows domain account or if your email is hosted by a third party company this could also be your email address
  4. Your password is required to authorise access to your Exchange server
  5. The domain field is optional but may be required for your IT setup. This is most often seen in the format 'DOMAIN\username
  6. A description is required to easily identify this account if you have multiple accounts added in the app
  7. The server field is optional. If you leave it blank Public Folders App will attempt to autodiscover the EWS (Exchange Web Services) URL required for the app to function. You can of course specify this. Only the host should be supplied e.g. In this example it would be assumed your EWS URL is located at

All data is synced directly with your organisation's server(s) as set up by you and accessed securely over HTTPS.
